you can get the arreche in any size from racingplanetusa . i have had good results with the 17.5mm . it bolts to stock intake and uses the stock airbox. i ran it with stock bore and pipe. now running it with 72 polini contesta and v8 pipe with no problem. even uses stock throttle cable. they also have different jets, nèedles and emulsion tubes

I think Mystic is right on, running a carb like that would sure save a lot of pain, not having to swap out the throttle cable is a huge plus. I would just make sure the stock intake is roughed up properly and all of the transitions are touched up. When you can jet a carb properly it makes all the difference in the world.

Greetings:
The Arreche even supports the stock bystarter! It works very well in the coldest weather too.

It came with my carb and intake that comes from Taz for the spree. I'm not sure if they are available anywhere separate.

Dont put an aftermarket exhaust or carb if your leaving the bore stock. It doesnt work that way buddy. Just wait for a bbk and do carb exhaust and gears all at one time

Using a proper pipe on a stock bore is a good thing. Tuned chambers are where the performance is. A pipe can really help even on a stock bore. My spree with the MLM pipe is proof of that. Using aftermarket carbs on stock bore is not a bad thing as long as it really does improve performance and isn't too large to impede performance. The 17.5 mom that mystic mentioned sounds like a decent idea. Now I agree that 21mm is prob. over carbing by a bunch on a stock bore, and yes bear would slam the * out of me for it... For me I'm hitting a performance wall and I am experimenting to see if the carb is the restriction and I have the carbs and intakes so why not try and see what happens with them. Look at the moped world, they use 18mm carbs on stock bores with aftermarket pipes all the time and have decent results. The tuned pipe makes the motor flow more air by design so why not let it have it with a slightly larger carb.

It would make a valid arguement on a 4t but your still not going to see any improvements without the gearing and the bigger bore kit to push those gears. Stock derestrcted pipe and a stock carb is all you need. Put a big exhaust on a stock bore and see how long those piston rings last. If you want the best bang for your buck on a 50cc mill the head, install 10:1 gears, keli or ruckus vari and a new belt. Thats all you have to do man. The stock carb is more then big enough for a stock bore. It even will work on a bbk but i wouldnt suggest it due to the fixed pilot

How are the stock piston rings any different than the rings used on a big bore kit ? BBKs offer more power by bigger transfers.. bigger bore and the ability to pump more air. Rings are rings. I have a wild Puch e50 and a stock maxi with a pipe and a bigger carb (They use the same style carb now).. The stock carb is a 12mm and I have gone to a 19mm jetted accordingly . Ive gained almost 10 mph from stock with a ton more driveablilty and my rings are just dandy.

With the big pipe that side of the piston will get more hot. You need to match the pipe to the bore size. 10mph? Wow thats not alot considering how much your gonna spend on a big * carb and pipe.

If you strap a tuned pipe on a completely stock motor yes "that side of the piston will get more hot" lol. But with adding the pipe and a carb upgrade you will see gains and your rings will be just as safe as they were before. 10mph is huge on a non variated stock cylinder bike btw.

Im actually amazed the scooter community can do anything with these trash v8 pipes. The divergent cone is nearly a wall with a very very long headpipe/convergant cone and a huge belly. I think they were developed to look "cool' more than anything.
