As a test since im going to replace my tires and tubes with new tires and tubes-- I inflated my old crappy tires and tubes to 40 psi.

The bike feels a lot more rigid over bumps and seems to handle better in general. More responsive. Since they are rated for 36 pounds I feel pretty sure that they can handle 40 all day long and twice on sundays. As a rule in bicycle tires/tubes, the manufacturer is gonna go on the low side. So 4 pounds is well within spec's as far as im concerned. And i don't know squat about scooters but i do know a fair amount about bicycles.

As for top speed, i didn't notice much of an effect but i think it is easier to get up to top speed and rolls smoother. My top speed is gearing or mix related i think and seems to be about 28-32 mph.
