I am inclined to think you will be best off to pay the man who knows how to do it.
Takes time and experience to develop a knack for wrenching.
True, one way to get the experience is to dive into the problem and "learn" your way around.
Depends on your decision to ride sooner, or, later after costly mistakes....

decided to print off the user manual and do it myself, i went out and got new 10gram roller weights this morning costing £10 $20ish wich is cheap over here, i swapped them out, just waiting for scootershack (my friendly local scooter parts shop) to get my belt in, waiting for starter bendix to arrive that i just bough off ebay wich cost me £20 around $40ish and waiting for 2 crankcase gaskets to come. total spend of £45 $90ish so far, learnt alot today by just reading the manual, this one really is different from my other scoot (gilera dna125).

Greetings:

Respect for your decision to self-repair , but you overpaid. Look for roller sets cheaper online. Bendices are expensive everywhere.

i guess whats done is done now, ill know for next time i gotta change em eh  the bendix i ordered was the only one i could seem to find in the uk, outside of the uk there were a few cheap ones but the cost was more than it would of cost just to buy the one off ebay in the uk, the belt should be in stock tommorrow, so hopefully ill have the thing running and riding by 2013
edit : ive had another look to double check everything inside, rollers are in correctly, brand new no flat spots, the crank isnt stripped and all splines are fine, ive had a look at the starter bendix, cleaned it up a bit, looked on youtube and it seems to be working fine, so going to quickly message the seller on ebay and ask them to cancel if not oh well ill have a spare. the drive belt is just within the service limit stated in the manual but ill replace anyway, the kickstart seems to be the issue, i got the crankcase clamped into a very nice neighbours vice and it seems that the pinion that goes into the pulley doesnt retract and go back into place, thus grabbing onto the variator pulley thing and jamming it, the bolt then comes loose and the whole thing gets messed up, so what im going to do to make sure that my theory is right is get hold of a battery charger, install a non kickstart crankcase off a spare engine i just picked up and start it off the electric start, if it works fine like that then ill just carry the battery pack with me and start it off electric start until i can fix the kick start. hopefully that problem will be sorted and i wont have many more.
