Just go down to an auto parts store and and buy a 2 prong 12 volt signal light relay you can get the electronic ones cheap that have a louder click so you can hear it clicking.

That worked! Everything is working now. Now to stop the leak in the carb. Probably a new carb gasket set.

Of course she target fixated into a stop sign and crashed in the grass. No damage to bike and hurt feelings.

Depends on where its leaking from, you might just need to polish the seat where the needle valve sits with some toothpaste and a cotton swab. They get a little pitted and corroded and allow fuel through. Also the drain screw can be not seated all the way in. Or the float has junk in it but that is less likely, give it a shake next time you have it out and you'll know right away.

Just remember to apologize to the scooter after something like that. I really superstitious about that kind of thing. I once cursed at my first motorcycle when it ran out of gas and the chain came off right after I called it a few bad words so I always talk nice to my machines ever since then.

Hah, that's funny about the apologizing thing. How far should that drain screw be set back? Guess I'll play with it tonight.

The drain screw just needs to be seated, I would just back it out until a little fuel comes out and then seat it back in snugly.
