Uggh, so any pipe made for a pre-1994 spree/elite/aero will work on this? What's your view on using the stock header on a pipe body?

Omit Spree from 'pre-1994' and it should fit. See pic below.

I'd start by looking at costs of cutting up 2 pipes to make one vs buying the right pipe and selling the OEM AF05.

2) AF05 (88-93 Elite SA50, 85-87 Aero, 87 Elite SE50)
3) Spree

The Dio exhausts come in 2 port sizes, so be sure to ask before you buy!
