Dont call it a pos it might get upset ;-) its not the motor's fault its worn out or was poorly maintained before you got it

Installed new piston and rings...still not working. I will be doing another compression test to see where its at....

Im going to borrow a Aero 50 carb that I know works just to make sure....

Anyone have any cheap running motors?

Did you hone the cylinder before installing the new piston and rings? You may have other issues. Maybe the crank seals are gone. Did you prime the motor with some two stroke mix. Is the battery charged up?

The cylinder was new also(coated with GN2), and yes I did use mixed fuel because I don't really trust the oil pump.

Thanks again Pat

Wait a min... Was the new cylinder this one? http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-NQ50-SPRE ... 93&vxp=mtr
If it is, did you cut the base gasket to match the block? The base gasket in those kits are wrong and need some cutting to make them right. It won't help low compression but fixing that issue will get you closer to running. I'm wondering if the cylinder ports are really blocked from the wrong gasket could it not get enough air in to make compression in the first place. Its a theory only but If a motor is an air pump, its not going to pump very much pressure out if it cant take in enough air in.

you can trust the oil pumps they usually pump too much oil when then fail. But running premix was the right thing to do though especially when breaking in a new cylinder and with the unknowns with the motor. Once it runs you will be able to confirm the oil pump works :-D
