Because its not an OKO. What you have is a Chinese knock off.
Or maybe you are unlucky and got the Friday afternoon edition

Greetings:

If someone has multiple Keihin PWK, OKO, and Asian Clone-OKOs, it might be interesting to pull the collection out and unscrew the emulsion tubes. An Arreche dealer once reminded me that they're not all the same. I went from having all sorts of tuning problems with the A-A 17.5mm carb to pure sweetness and joy. Of course, I had to go on to try the Next Thing; A PV Keihin with vacuum float. Actually that worked pretty well too.

Cv or pv? The cv carbs, that are found on many 4t, are junk but good for gas mileage. You can modify them to perform faster but in the end I always went with mikuni vm or fcr pumper style carbs. Aa carbs are troublesome as well, all carbs are trouble honestly. Dells are mind numbingly fickle. In the end the pwk, wether it be a copy or true blue, is the easiest to tune on the Honda scooter.

Greetings:

Yes, Flash 1 and/or 2 featured a 24mm Constant Velocity carb, complete with vacuum-operated secondary slide and snail-type throttle. I had to solder up my own cable, and with legendary (Bad) Wheelman soldering "skills", that's somethin'. The slide gasket is a real PITA to seat properly, but I had worked on them (in 40mm size) with my Harleys. It really did work pretty well in the end, but as usual, I moved onto the Next Thing. Learned a lot in the process.

This thread has really great information on spotting the Fake OKO. If anyone has information on how to spot other fakes, Mikuni or others please post it here.
