First thing I'll do is a compression check to see if that's the problem. I haven't really even had time to look at it. Can someone post the air box and lid picture to see what it is suppose to look like. Want to make sure I have the right one.

Well the scooter has no compression here is what I found when I removed the head.

Think I could just install a new piston? Can the cylinder be honed? I also found the oil pump wired wide open all the time. Not sure why they did that.

Hi there, I'm doing the same de-restrictions this guy is doing, all of this seems straightforward, but no one ever really mentions the oil supply, what needs to be done to the oil pump to address these added mph to the de restricted elite?

To Cmoped you have been told your options basically it's an SR after derestriction you have a chance to buy an sr pump Id take it you might not find another for awhile. Wire it get the the cable or premix. Once you put a BBK on it you will need to premix. I didn't have to premix until I got rid of the stock cylinder. If you have concerns about these things do more reading or just get a SR pump and call it a day. That's what I'd do. Oil keeps things lubed and from burning up motors it's pretty important there is plenty of info on this site to explain the whys and what fors.

Yelp I had to find out first hand what sir Wheelman is saying. Bigger isn't better. And gears and a variator is the first I would do. Then bbk, carb ect ect......

Ok I installed the Polini Corsa kit, Drilled out the stock exhaust and up jetted to a 90 main. It runs real good now but tops out around 25-28 real fast. The goal is to cruise around 30 mph with out rpming it to death. Right now 1/4 throttle it is around 20 mph and rpmimg ok but any more throttle the RPMs go a lot higher but tops out around 25-28mph. What is the next step? I do love the torque it has now! Also I premixed it 32-1 and just unhooked the oilpump cable but still has oil in the tank. Will that cause any problems? I figured it would just give it a little more oil.

I have not removed the ring. If I remove it do you replace it with another one? I haven't changed the belt yet either. This stuff is all new to me but after riding it yesterday for the first time it's pretty fun.

Remove 6 and throw away.
Buy a new #7 then put back together.
That is correct?
Would this be as good as buying a new variator from Polini?

Greetings:

Running the pump AND 32:1 premix will deliver far too much oil, even with the cable detached. 32:1 is plenty. More causes fuel-lean mixture, overheat and failure. Pump plugs are $15. I recommend one if you plan to go fast.
