premix brand and ratio?

hey, what ratio are you guys running when you premix? im ordering some stuff from vtcycles. they recommended running premix and recommended using a plug for the oil pump hole. the ratio they said to use was 50:1.

VT Cycles told me to wire my oiler wide open, ------and then pre-mix 50-1----- CORRECTION, 1 oz of oil premixed with a WHOLE tank of gas!

from what i understand it all depends on the jetting. i dont have much experience with this yet though. anyone have a lot of experience with this that could explain how to figure out what ratio to run and explain jetting for premix?
