Thanks, Meatball! I still have my PA carb - cleaned when I installed the Clone, just in case. I think the microscopic air screw O-Ring in mine had a little defect in it, so it leaked. Fortunately I have a collection of replacements for them too,

Greetings:

We had the season's first Cool Front, Temps in mid-80s instead of Mid-90s, and a WHOLE lot drier. Scooter runs SO much better, suggesting my 90 and current needle position was way rich. It was smoky, a little poky, and a lot of 4-stroking that no longer happens. But it did continue to run fairly well at WOT and continues to start 1st kick, even after sitting a few days. More news when it happens.
