check the bystarter is getting power? This might sound silly but unhook every electrical connector you can find on it grease them with vaseline and put it back together Fixes 90% of all electrical problems.

:D hi my scooter does the same thing reeds are worn on mine and if i cover the carb a bit will run better going to get new reeds and engine seems to have good comp man im an auto tech and it is weird to me it has to be something simpl that we have both missied

Check the ramp guides on the front pulley which nobody does! also pull off the final drive pulley "rear pulley" take off the center spring and pull it apart, if it binds its shot meaning the belt will also bind, if you have a minarelli engine you can take off the trans cover and watch the belt ride both pulleys, they did make clear plastic trans cover for those engines but i don't see them anymore. now thats cool :lol:

the plastic covers were cool but not strong enough for a kick starter. and sprees opened every ones eyes how much kick starters are needed.
