haha while that may be true, I have come to realize that my front wheel is in fact backwards. I have no idea why, and it's probably why I can't get my speedo to work

Other than that, is it really a problem to have it that way?

it shouldn't be a big deal. like you said the speed-o wont work and the front brakes might be a little * but it should be good

thats a 1985 honda aero 50 nb50m, the m only means that it had a variator governor on it. yes, the whole front end is backwards at the bars, take off your bars, spin the for around 180, then remount the bars. you can buy parts for them. by far better then a spree, and better then some elites. good find. enjoy it. i kow i liked my old aero, and my new one.

yea i have been gone for awhile too... so anyways yeah if you got the areo you should put a bore kit on it. i picked up mysprees one and it had one on it. i also changed the roller weights on it to. just look on vtcycles.com for parts for it.
