Yeah I figured. The only thing I don't understand is the 10 and 2 thing for the rings... but I'm buying this kit:Kenny_McCormic wrote:They are * you, if you know what the * your doing (easy to learn), there will be no problems.

Interesting kit - I hadn't seen that one before. All aluminum - wow. It almost seems too cheap though. Kinda makes me wonder.nparks wrote: Yeah I figured. The only thing I don't understand is the 10 and 2 thing for the rings... but I'm buying this kit:

Having just completed a similar build, I can tell you with these scooters its pretty much an all or nothing deal. You need a much bigger carb for that kit - go with a 28mm OKO. Might as well order a new exhaust too.I'm going to try to find a 19mm carb too.
Yes - you will need a new intake and throttle cable. Talk to Keoni at VT. When I ordered a few weeks ago, they had a great package price on the carb/cable/intake/air filter. Is that all I'll really need to get started with a bore kit? And if I get a 19mm+ carb then I'll need a different intake manifold or throttle cable, or will the stock ones work?
You would need to up your main jet big time to around 100 (stock is 68 for the S and 78 for the SR) to keep the stock carb running a bore kit. Anything less and you'll run too lean and burn it up.Or if I install it will it harm anything to run it without a bigger carb?
