Spree Speed
It seems to me that some stock 49cc mopeds (Spree) top out at 28-30 MPH. Other stock 49cc mopeds (Aero) top out a36-39 MPH.
Given an equal choice, I'd go with a faster scooter.
My '86 spree did a regular 38-40 MPH when new. It has slowed down in more recent years to around 32 MPH, but it still moves along fairly well.
An old friend of mine and I used to race our mopeds against each other. Mine was an '86 spree and his was a Yamaha Razz. I beat him on a very regular basis. The Razz simply couldn't keep up.
The spree was nowhere near the speed of the Aero, but the Spree did O.K.
