Re: use a cb750 shock
I would like to see a picture of this!Videonut wrote:ok it is a slight mod but i used a honda cb750 rear sprin on my spree. it lifted it about 4-5inches and i had to remove the airbox and make a mount for it but it rides so nice and i can jump off curbs. i also put a killer set of knobbys on it looks killer

Re: Heavy Duty Rear Spring for Spree??
So any of those 'performance' shocks, with the adjustable preload for an elite should work then? correct?
Re: Heavy Duty Rear Spring for Spree??

Re: Heavy Duty Rear Spring for Spree??
But without any mod.
I believe KMcC said that an elite shock will fit a spree. so a performance elite shock, should as well fit a spree.

Re: Heavy Duty Rear Spring for Spree??
I know a SB50 is drop in and gives a couple inches.
I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.
Re: Heavy Duty Rear Spring for Spree??
Those performance shocks are often wider (or the adjustment collar on the bottom stick out) and they really hinder tire clearance. All my friends with aftermarket shocks have grooved tires.
