the malossi gears do knock off a little punch, but with a good clutch its alright. they are well worth the 10mph top speed increase! mine wheelies, well, i guess "stunts", like you wouldnt believe, and picks up great all the way to 60mph. its been dead reliable so far, but i still pull it apart every few engine hours just because.
Boyesen Reeds
Aranadanoob is right the #708 Boyesen reeds fits the Chrome CT manifold I just ordered a set from the manufacture It works as advertised, you have to order 2 kits for it to work its worth the money. It cost $20 so its $40 for 2 kits.Arnadanoob wrote:I use them in all of my personal bikes. Just make sure you order the correct ones (#708). Installation is simple, remove all of the metal pieces and only use what comes with the reed packaging, you will need 2 for your CT manifold.
The reeds may or may not make a major difference however the most noticeable part is throttle response is better on the low end. It's also possible that you might need to step down on the jetting (go leaner) 1 step as Boyesens will tend to make things run richer (as a result of having a softer primary reed).
