I was able to pull the part with the nipple on it fairly easily, but I can't seem to find any site online that sells just that little piece. It seems like they only sell the full assembly for $100 which is ridiculous.
Any ideas?
I do have complete oil pump has 2800 original miles! $35.00 shipped!

this week is just about over....
After hours working with my dad trying to get the broken bit out, and then a bit more time working with our neighbor (who worked as a mechanic for BMW at age 16!) without any success, we caved and took it to an bike shop, paid way too much, and got it done.
MUCH thanks goes out to Dac for the oil pump thing. Assembled everything back together, and it's acting a little funny.... any ideas?

So you just did some cleaning? Looks and sounds like rear brakes are adjusted too far keeping wheel from turning. Did you mess with rear brake cable near the wheel?

i swear, people that ride scooters ('specially Honda scooters) are the best people on the road... Dac came thru like a champ on an impossible-to-find part to get another guy riding again.

-ya don't find many people like that... much props dude.
There was an old Honda scooter ad that stated "You meet the nicest people on a Honda."

haha very accurate observation. I had the rear wheel locked. Shouldn't it still rev all the way?

i would just throw the seat on and go for a ride.
Once the clutch engages the motor wants to turn the wheel. Call me crazy, but my idea is...
1- motor revs up
2-clutch engages
3-sence the motor cant turn the wheel it just bogs.
just an idea. Try it out.

If the rear wheel is locked up it will sound like a bog, motor just doesn't have "anywhere to go". I like Dacs explanation.

loosen rear brake cable by hand till you can freely spin wheel, put on stock airbox
problem solved

three tests in the next two weeks, and I'm running this event:
so, I'm a little too busy unfortunately. I'll get on it soon though. Basically just need to put the plastic back on, put oil and gas in it, and clean the carb, I think.

Collegiate Skim-off?
Is this a competition to see which student body can get more money out of their parents for "food and books"?

Alright, I want to buy some jets. Seeing that I don't have access to a drill press up at school, drilling them out seems like a terrible idea right now. Best website to buy from? Recommended sizes to purchase?
