The JDM intake manifold on the Dio ZX models are available from online parts dealers like ronayers.com and hondaparts-direct.com.bradthreee wrote:After reviewing Sanjuro's post the carb is the Japanese model dio so it should be bigger. Hopefully it will bolt onto the stock intake mani if not then I may possibly need to get the JDM mani as well, if it even fits into the SE50 engine. I guess I'll just have to see
The part number for the JDM Dio ZX part is: 17101-gw0-000
I looked up the 2001 Elite intake manifold and it uses a different part number: 17100-GZ5-010. They look the same to me though so you shouldn't have a problem.
BTW, the '87 Elite has the part number: 17100-GR1-670. It looks quite different compared to the AF28 and SA50 intake inlets.
The base on the intake manifold it curved on the 87 and straight on the dio.you can use the dio manifold on the 87 but not the 87 1 on the dio.the 87 manifold is better than the dio because the opening is just a little bigger and its shorter to the reed block.
Nothing like getting stroked!

The Dio carb doesn't fit on the SE50 mani. It seems that the holes for the mounting bolts are a bit too shortbakaracer wrote:The base on the intake manifold it curved on the 87 and straight on the dio.you can use the dio manifold on the 87 but not the 87 1 on the dio.the 87 manifold is better than the dio because the opening is just a little bigger and its shorter to the reed block.
I just put in a new plug and thoroughly cleaned the carb again and blew it out with compressed air.
I put the stock exhaust with washer and it raised the compression a bit.
Still not starting
Help!!!
