yup take care of that tube. the slightest gap in the system can totally mess up the suction

Well, I got some starter fluid and sprayed some in and bingo!...spree starts but wants to lurch forward violently once put off stand. Did I not clean the carb correctly when dealing with the pilot jet? I'm very new to this and that is a strong possibility. Could the hose leak cause something such as this to happen also? Thanks for all the help guys.

They will only have one throttle position, WFO if you put the slide in wrong. Note slot and on slide and nub in carb.

yep. been there, felt dumb, almost hit the ceiling... just be glad you still have a kickstand. i took mine off for "handling reasons", so mine IMMEDATLY shot forward, nearly out of my grip. the nub in my carb got slightly damaged in the ordeal, so make sure the nub will still fit in the slot on the carb. i had to trim off some exess nylon off the sides of the nub w/ a razor knife, works great to this day

You were right Kenny! Had the throttle thing in the wrong way. She works alright now but occasionally dies when going over a large bump? Thanks for all the advice people, this forum and its members rock, Thanks

If its dieing over the bumps, check the ignition wire going to the spark plug and make sure its nice and tight

Thanks, I'll give that a try. It's a possibility because it was my first time cleaning the carb.
