That's round insert I wasn't talking about. I don't even think mine is glued together. I'm pretty sure it's just stuck in there. But you could glue that together without any inssues. I think I'm going to look into the Uni Filter like this

I thought about gluing it and I might do that for a couple quick runs till the new one comes in.

I'd just glue it. Like I said, mine wasn't even connected.
They look real nice though

No I'll keep my polini pod. Not trying to bash it so far it's done well minus the tear but filters rip and degrade s*** happens. Now I'll have a back up. Is all. I just wish I could get an explanation from them on why it doesn't need to be oiled like most. That's not on you and I trust you man. Tried to contact them with no avail. So just gonna keep on pushing through my erroneous bad luck and keep moving forward.

I didn't think about the skirts. They also have their black single stage filter which is a little smaller. I guess the only way to find out is to try.
I'm not saying that it is a terrible filter, its just that it's not really a great design for trapping dirt.

I'm not getting rid of my polini. Just need to get it working at optimal levels. And don't worry bud I'm working on getting it over there. As it sits I know it can make it over just trying to find time.

ok so I got a little side tracked with my temps and had another thread going.
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=30833 and have been working on cvt tuning now that my temps are back to normal. (bent spark plug and throttle needle d*** gremlins). got some needles on order and am using an oko carb needle that seems to be working out. still losing rpms around 8600-9k when pulling up hill and flats. changed out my rollers to all 5.5s to see how that reacts tonight. hoping no rain in the morning! not sure if I need to go heavier or not but I am gonna start light and systematically work heavier if the lighter rollers dont solve my issues. still running a bit rich highest temp Ive reached was 340. will deal with that next motor is running good just bogs a bit at full throttle.

Rode it home today and with 5.5g rollers the bike runs pretty good after 9k had less fade but once rpms dropped under 9k going up it wanted to bog. Heading in the right direction. Will put a 100 main in next to try to get rid of my full throttle bog. Temps maxed around 330 today. So I got some room to play. I think if I can get full throttle I can probably keep my rpms up higher. Hit 55 pretty easily kinda hard to really open her up on this route lots of lights and stop signs.

What exactly is that? Obviously it is some sort of opened up box, but doesn't look like a stanadar Elite air box.
Any reason why that over a pod style filter? Aside from intake noise maybe?

Greetings:
That'd be the OKO airbox. The rubber tube connector is missing because it crumbles and splits after a while. Replacements can be made by people cleverer and with more time than I have. Might have a bit of advantage over most pods, unsure why.

Is it a straight shot from the carb to the air box? Or does it do some bending? Is the diameter different? Doesn't seem like it would be too difficult to use some 2" radiator hose to make one?

Greetings:
The 2" ID works for the Keihin/OKO/Polini carb bellmouth, but need to glue onto a pipe with the OD for the airbox, which is a weird size. Plus it's not square to the angle of the connector, thus hard to seal. A 3D print of the part in Urethane would be cool. Where's a Geek when you need one?
