Hey! Toasty Yan-man!
Thanks much for the compliments, dude! -as for the gauge setup; it took some serious time and buying different Kitaco brackets to finally find a setup I liked... I received my Daytona mount for the Posh digital temp meter this week, so now the temp meter is actually mounted as well.
The Kitaco "Naked" headlight kit should have been one of the 1st mods I should have done; the light output is amazing!! However, as soon as I get my wheels completed, I will be getting a Solam (Japan) "Mini" HID kit for my NS.
This is a true Mini-Bike HID kit; not a Chinese kit for a car.
The ballast is freaking tiny, and powering it with a standard 5 amp battery and stock stator is how it's made to be ran... No wiring probs, fried stators or extra bat-trees needed... All I need to do is sell a few of my body's organs, and then i'll order it! Soon, though- soon...
Glad you are still in the scooter scene, dude! I thought u were getting out there for a while...
Sincere thanks on your compliments; you've been here longer than most of us, and you pioneered the "modified" Corsa install; proving its reliable...
Later man, j

Member gkintn says he has high resolution pix of this bike that reveal it has been sitting outside at some point, enough to turn all fasteners rusty, tank abrasions, and not the pretty bike it appears first-off. He places value at $800-$1,000...Good luck S-n-S, I'm not getting involved...

-I too have seen high-res pics of the NS on eBay, and right you are, Mike- the fasteners have surface rust... However, it's nothing I would not tackle! That NS looks like NEW compared to the way my NS looked when I started!

Seriously! I'm going to dig up some pics of when I started....
As for Mike powder coating the Enkei-Kawi AR80 wheels white.... That's a given - Yes sir...
OF COURSE!!

(four thumbs-up)
Later "NS-Heads"
ya know, there should be an NS50F / "shifty-50's" sub-category on the forum called "NS Heads"

I forgot to tell you guys-
I'm thinking that my mailman knows how excited I get when he has a package from Japan for me; its been a regular thing the past few months.
So the doorbell rang this morning at 9:15 am, right when I was waking up for work. When I opened the door, there was a little box from WeBike~
Mailman yelled "earlier the better, right?"

Shoot, -that man needs a raise!
I had been patiently waiting on my Auto Boy (Autoboyss) High Power Cylinder Head to arrive, and it's finally here! Auto Boy is a somewhat small, "Racing Shop" in Japan. Their parts are oem Honda quality
The Auto Boy head is designed to give more power and torque, and keep the bore reliable for every day street use. The machining and polishing is beautiful- I will post up some pictures soon!
Later guys, j

@ Motormike...
Yeah, ya always got to give some love and attention to BOTH your "bike-love" and your "lady-love..."
You don't want your lady getting jealous of you bike!
I've always been a fan of naming my bikes. I have always named all my big-bikes as soon as I've pulled off the dealer lot, but as for my NS50 I just call her "NS." Once I get her completed and spend more time riding, her name will come to me...
I will definitely shoot some pics of my NS's new Autoboy head...
Then, I will show you the head I *was* using, a new OEM 2004 Honda NSR 50 (mini-racer version) head,
then I will show you the
stock 1990 Honda NS50F head.
Along with the cylinder head pics, I will show you pictures of the 2004 NSR head gasket, the 1990 NS50F head gasket, and the Autoboy head gasket...
*most NS owners do not know this, but the NS50F head gasket is a huge power/torque limiting-factor for the AC08.*
-you will see what I mean when I take pics comparing the 2004 NSR 50 (mini-racer) head gasket to the standard NS50F / Japanese spec NSR 50 head gasket.
Later dudes, j

...by the way...
If anyone is interested in a like new 2004 OEM NSR 50 cylinder head with new cylinder head gasket, let me know. Think of this as HRC's version of an NS50 head.
-Reworked combustion chamber, and the water outlet for coolant that travels thru the intake manifold is blocked off. Heating the intake manifold with hot coolant is a bad idea for power anyway...
Instant power increase.

Dang, mine only had 200 some odd miles when I bought it. Any takers for $1700? It's got a host of nice JDM pieces on it.
