ask stopsign31 about his burnt up polini kit.

I am holding a F**ked up polini piston in my hand right now. I don.t have my camera with me right now.

It is all about tuning. :thumbwink:

not mine

I acquired it through a trade....the piston is messed up pretty bad. But the bore maybe OK.

The point is, no matter if the piston is from italy or taiwan, bad tuning will melt them both

lol I figure a person who pays around 200 is going to be more cautious with the polini as opposed to whatever the taiwan costs but like I said I don't know for certain because I have never used or seen either one except in pictures :P

I think the polini bore is just more "plug and play " than some of the tiawan kits.

But if you want bigger than 72cc for your elite....polini has no 72cc+ kit

SpreeMadness520 wrote:Well I kinda hit a road block? I would go for a 125cc stroker spree but..I cant find anyone that will cut the cases for the crank. So what is the biggest bore that works with the stock crank? Thanks
49mm aluminum bore/piston on stock crank= 78cc

50mm on a stock crank= 82cc

51mm on a stock crank= 85cc

50mm on a 44.4mm ministroke crank =87cc

51mm on a 44.4mm ministroke crank = 89cc

(cc calculations are rounded off)

Question: Are you building this to race or to drive daily?

can't have your cake and eat it too.

Just do a 50mm big bore on a stock crank or 43.4mm ministroke. double up the head gaskets if you want to run it on the street.
