For the rest of your life, and everywhere you go, people are going to be "harassing" you about your grammar. I make a living based mostly on my writing, and even still take criticism on my choice of words and phrasing.

Writing, at the level that you are producing, is unpleasant to look at, confusing, and instantly tags you as a noob. I'm certain that you are familiar with concepts like punctuation, capitalization, etc.

This is obviously an area of sensitivity for you, based on your reaction. Rather than be victimized by it, I'd suggest trying harder to correct it. Pick up a newspaper, read, emulate. You'll be amazed at the change in people's attitudes towards you on boards like this, as well as every other written medium.

At any rate, reacting with obscene rants is not tolerated here regardless of what's said.

Regarding your suggestion; while I think it has merit, it's been tried before and has failed miserably every time.

Lunytune sez:

"Dan, I thought you were serious and looked it up on dictionary.com to verify. Nope!"

That'll learn ya, Bud. :naughty:

Redrocket,
You're missing the point entirely. True, your grammar and spelling needs improvement, but it is the vulgarity that is so offensive. It is within your power to change both. Noiseguy said it right in saying you can improve your writing skills. It will take time, but will be worth it.

Vulgarity is something you correct immediately. Process Step 4 of the 12 step program:
"Make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself." Then follow through with the other steps. You can begin by changing your location. My mother was not a *, and I doubt your mother is a *. But consider if someone said to you that their location is YOUR mother's bed. I doubt you would say that to a person face to face.
