Greetings:
Yes, NoiseGuy light is right. And I'm thinking of the lightest, but still attractively-styled one of them all: The Elite "E" like EliteDio's. Unfortunately not terribly popular in its day, leaving few workable examples to unearth today.

at least the met looks classy, with nice lines. that's what happens when you base your design off classic italian beauty.
the ch80 ....ugh. fits in well with devo, men in hats, and TRON.
whomever penned the lines of the elite 80 was sure lazy. my refrigerator has better curves.
Say what you want about the CH80.......Ugly or not it's
unique to Honda. That is what I like about it.
And yes... It is a class of it's own as the longest produced Honda so someone must have been buying them.
As far as the classy lines of the Met.....It's not Honda lines !
I would buy a new Elite 80 over a new Met any day of the week!
Honda/Kymco designers may have been lazy when they"penned the lines "of the Elite 80 but they threw in the towel and just copied the italians for the Met.
In the end I would like to own any and all Honda scoots even the Met!

Come on Wheels...I was getting excited to see some good fortune for the CH80.
I'll buy you a new chain and padlock for it!!!!

Oh, so you want the later Spree, 88+, misnamed Elite. Those are a bit heavier (120#?) and harder to find, but they're out there. I don't think you'll end up with much weight savings on that; the lighter front suspension would be the main improvement.
Where's Burnt Toast? What did that white bike he threw together weigh when complete?

Greeting:
Small, yes but still outweighs a Spree at 95 pounds dry. But dude if ever there was a scooter that needed a Dio swapped in...

Wow, 108# dry. I would have never guessed it if you didn't say it. But think of the handling with that short wheelbase and the need for disk brake conversion. In shipping form, the sa50p (forks removed so it is just the bare frame and bubble wrap) frame was 28#. The minimal storage in the sb50 is worth the extra weight over the spree though.

Hey So my grey power engineering is being considered. I am impressed.
I have to admit when I got the bike I did not know how bad it was, weak single speed system. It had a belt drive and cones that it rode on, who would have guessed that it was so sucky. I knew nothing about the differences in Honda Elites in 2008.
It was only through the efforts here with you guys in edjumating me that I got my wifes little bike up to speed.
I was lucky and found a new drive train built up for a reasonable price. It was almost a drop in, haha.
My bike weighs 128 pounds with a gallon of gas. The engine is heavier, rear wheel heavier. I removed stuff like oil tank. I have not made any effort to really lighten it.
What still is not up to par for it's increased performance is it's original forks and shock. The frame is still unbraced.
I too am ready to make up one for me. It won't be a SB and won't look like any other scooter on this list.
