So if it doesn't blow past your finger it has less than 30 right? Doesn't seem a waste of time. If your rings are stuck than you might not even get that much compression. If I suspect low compression I always do the finger test first. If that passes then I move to the compression tester. And with this guy being in japan I have no idea where he would get a compression tester. So before recommending he try to find a compression tester I figured I would tell him to finger test it.

the bike wont run on 30psi and if you have gone to the hassel you may as well just use a compression tester.So if he cant get a proper tester and he puts his finger on and it blows it off he will think compression is good and try to trouble shoot somewhere else and will never get his bike going if his compression is actually low.therefor the finger test was waste of time

should we do a poll and ask everyone if they think the finger test should be put in the wiki .Maybe you could write to honda and explain your finger test and ask for it to be added to all workshop manuals.
