i would do some kind of foot pegs. gets more unstable if your sitting on your nuts balancing yourself on that seat.. Look at my youtube videos of frank, on the orange bike, and travis on the slammed elite, No pegs speed wobbles lol. Of course once i told them to play with the seating positioning it went away on the next run. once pegs were installed they dont have that problem. You might want to try and ride it first to find the best position for them. we have found that when you get speed wobbles with out the ability to hold your self up with the pegs, its gets worse. Thats why all the bike i have set up we do pegs instead of using the floor board. Even with your feet up on the floor is better than no pegs at all. Just having your stance wide as possible is big help, as for the position backwards as long as your in a squatting position its seems to be a good starting point From there anything back is all your preference.. What i try to do is figure out a balance point between you and the bike. Your biggest concern would be not to have your arms straight, you need some elbow bend, if not again more chances of becoming unstable. I like to make sure I have the ability to move around on my seat. On take off i sit almost on the tip, at the 60ft most times the bike is settled enough for me to slide back and get as low as possible. Also having the ability to position your self on the seat help in lane conditions as well, take for instance, you get wheel spin, sit father back. wheelies then sit up longer. I find that finding the sweet spot on the launch is critical in getting your best launch. My bike has a 11 inch stretch and it yanks the wheels up with ease. Coming back on the return lane is fun cause we are crusing about 25 ish and ill wack the throttle and wheelie past the spectators LOL.

he can also run a 14.3 1/4 mile. That is flat haulin * for a scooter. A lot of sports cars don't run that stock

83 mph on little scooter wheels and tires is flat out scary to me. :wink: Not that I wouldn't try it, being an adrenalin junkie makes you try lots of scary things. :eyeroll:

LOL yes its a defiantly a fun ride! My 60ft now is anywhere from 1.92/198 just depends on the launch. Bear , I wish i was at that mph hehe. that was done with a 1/8 mile set up. I just did another full run at the last race and did a 14.8 because of a gear change i had made. As for the stability of the bike , so far only once i had some minor head shake at top end. Thats why i was saying to Mr kryptonite that foot pegs and body positioning is so important. My experience with that head shake was because it was the first full 1/4 mile run I took and I was just sitting to far back on the seat. It was a easy adjustment to cure that , I just slide forward a bit. Actually that little wobble wasnt that that bad, I have gotten head shake on my street bikes riding up in the mountain over 120mph. What im planning is once i get the NOS figured out on the other bike, ill transplant that into the pink one. and try to do a low/mid 7 in the 1/8, and then do a water cooled set up for the 1/4. Im figuring that a mid 13 all motor is possible. With Nos "hopefully" it should do 11s. Upon doing those test runs with it , easy took off almost 2secs and added 20mph and that was with a 6hp shot. A very mild set up in my eyes... But defiantly going to buss out the full leathers for that. Next race will be on the 17th and I plan to max out the NOS and run alcohol in the pink bike!

it that with a dremel? thats some nice work too bad nobody i know onmaui does good block work, id think about opening up the stock ones on my bike. their smaller than the stock elite block one. cant wait to see this motor done on the drag frame. nice work :2thumbs:

Yes, I did this with the magicstick :thumbwink: .

This motor should be done thursday, and racing on friday :wink:

Greetings:

I suggest you take care to examine the mating surfaces on the AF16 block in the boost port area. As you remove material, the strip where the halves come together can get wafer-thin. HondaBond's good stuff but the band has to have a bit of width for security. Furthermore, one half seems to have a lot more cutting room than the other. A leak here would be disastrous, and hard to remedy.

Well . . .

Once i arrived up to Traffic Jamz we only had an hour or so to do the engine swap, so we decide not to do it, now i did install a different center spring, and Kryponight made a new personal best.

14.67 @ 41.75

I just made 1 run cuz i had my race car there and having all kinds of troubles.

well we will keep ya posted
