What class / series are you running this bike in? I assume that there's a reason you picked an '87, vs. another year bike? What are the rules on displacement and modifications?

The association I race in mostly consist of vespas and lambrettas and mopeds with pedals so race with the vespas and lambrettas.thereis no one in the bike style class I'm in yet and the class I race in, I'm out cc'd and hp'd by double.most of the guys are running 133cc kits or bigger and make from 12hp stock up to 26hp+. I raced on a 87 frame and rode 87 elite50's mostly plus I already had some parts to swap over to make a race bike. If I really could.I would race a jdm dio frame or a jdm jog r or aprio.I had a lot of dio parts so I just figure build a 87 with dio parts on it.I also race in a supermoto class right now against 250,400 and 450cc dirt bikes in the winter series.the first race I took 3rd out of 12 racers and 6th in the 2nd race out of 11 racers. So I'm about mid pack right now which is pretty good.I need to build a faster motor for this coming season to give me that little extra edge so I don't have to ride as hard.I'm always on edge just to keep pace because I'm down on power and speed.

How fast does that thing go? Looks awesome. What do you have for an exhaust? Oh, and is there any chance you'd want to sell the stock carb and airbox from the SE50?

dont know what top speed is but it hits 55.4mph in a 580ft straight away with my 72cc setup 9to1 gears and 62.7mph on a 780ft straight with my 125cc setup 8.5to1 gears. my 72cc setup uses a msp exhaust that looks exactly like a v8 or pg typhoon muffler witha 28mm inlet. i use a pg typhoon on my 125cc setup due to noise restrictions right now till I quite down my stroker pipe. as for the stock carb and airbox,I dont have it.Sorry.
