Veteran's - thank you. We took a Vietnam vet in our group to lunch today, great times and appreciation by all, along with good Thai food. Guy was an Air Force electronics tech, and told us many tales of tech of the times. Thanks Bear and all other veteran's!

.....the weather channel is showing 69 degrees currently....my phone bill is due tomorrow, so no time to mail it in....the ride to the closest Verizon center is gonna be a pleasure with warm temps like these, in mid-November....go figure...global warming was actually a huge underground plan by motorbikers..... :hi:

Must be nice. A high of 47┬░ and partly cloudy at best here and this is the first nice day in the last five. Besides that I have to go to the VA and see the Knee Doc and I don't take my scooter on the interstate, I have no death wish.

.....There was a small swap meet last Sat. @ the local BMW/Vespa dealership....check out this jacket I snagged for $50...fully lined for cold weather, accordian pleats behind the sleeves and on the elbows allow for easy movements...no binding...yeah, it's slightly worn, but the price was right!!... :thumbwink: ......I've been trying to wear a full-face helmet, but the impaired peripheral vision causes me more problems than I like...I know that full helmets are more protective...maybe a balaclava is the answer to cold chin...... :hi:

I'm not a fan of full face helmets either, but part of that comes from racing boats and when if you are stuck under water after an oops, and you need resuscitation a full face helmet means that it has to be removed first and if your neck is compromised you could end up a quad. I use an open face helmet with a face shield in the winter, not in the summer, and like you a balaclava.

Have you looked at modular helmets Bear?

Yes and I have the same issue with those that motormike has with other full face helmets. I don't like tunnel vision. When I started riding helmets were optional and a full face helmets did not exist. Old habits die hard.

....Any modular that I've seen carries a hefty price...even though you cant put a value on your brain.....the full-face I have now is KBC-TK-8 Excalibur...snell rated...and the air leaking in is like having your head inside a siren....like Bear says, old habits die hard..... :urban:
