ive had 65.2 mph with the 8.44 to 1 gears and nothing is fine tuned yet

i noticed a lot of people on here go with the polini kit. my other scooter is mainly polini but how does the molossi compare with the polini? i noticed they have a MHR rep and a "race" version... only difference that i can tell is the way the cylinder is coated. also where are you guys all finding your final drive gears at? i've only seen the 13/35 "top racing" gears.

Can almost garuntee I have at least 100 lbs on you.. I plan on hitting my scooter yard up tomorrow and grab another af16 drive spindle so I can have both the 9:1 and 8:44 setup. It has more to give I'm sure.. Malossi "For Dio" kits generally have a bigger boost port requiring carving out the stock AF16 crankcase port to match the gasket for best performance. Polini Cortessa and Corsa kits have AF16-size ports and are more "bolt-on". Subtle porting differences from the Proud Rivals make for slightly different performance results. Bakaracer's 80+ MPH track bike is an MHR, but I suspect tuners can go as fast on a well-tuned Corsa. The Italians are meticulous about clearances and dimensional precision. Pistons are likely to be Quality-Checked to go with the cylinder before they're shipped. Some less-expensive pull a jug out of one barrel and a piston from another and put 'em in a box and call it good.
There are tons of gear sets on eBay last time I looked. Search "SA50" or "Dio". VT Cycles sells all flavors - stock varies.
