Re: Just asking
Different intake and too much carb which will make tuning a b**** and it costs a whole bunch more.

The keli has a better midrange and usually yields 1-3mph increase in top speed.ILLEGALLIFESTYLZ311 wrote:http://www.ebay.com/itm/SPEED-VARIATOR- ... 3f18a61cbe

Re: Just asking
If my new carb has a single throttle cable, can i still have all of the oil pump "workings" still attached to the motor and just run premix? Or does one have to put a plug in the motor and ditch the assembly?

Re: Just asking
But you are looking for a pump failure in the future which could ruin your crankshaft. Not the right way to approach this and plugs are cheap.Trafficjamz wrote:yesILLEGALLIFESTYLZ311 wrote:Is it possible to run it with the assembly still attached?

Re: Just asking
Those gears you chose may be too tall.
They are 6.5:1 on the af16

Re: Just asking
i thought 7.3 gears would make it super quick on the topend?..unless i am mistaken?

Re: Just asking
You are confusing your terms. Quick refers to acceleration and lower numbered gears do not help that.ILLEGALLIFESTYLZ311 wrote:i thought 7.3 gears would make it super quick on the topend?..unless i am mistaken?
Fast is top end or speed and low numbered gears make you fast if you have the horsepower to pull those gears.
In drag racing quick is your Elapsed Time and MPH is how fast you cover the distance between the traps at the end of the 1/4 mile. The slowest guy, mph wise can actually win the race by being quicker, having a lower ET.
But in any case you have to have the horsepower to go fast or all the gears in the world will not make you fast.
