Mirrors are gone. Does anyone have any thoughts on covering the holes? Saw someone's elite had some black caps on here they got at Home Depot just lost the thread. Will see how I like the bar end mirror. It's a middle of the road mirror price wise. And decent quality will get a better pic when I take it out again.

Yeah that's not cheap! But I know I get what I pay for and these were $35 which isn't a lot but not the cheapest ones I could buy and went for a ride tonight and they didn't move or fall off yet. Plus I am only using one so I have a spare. Eventually I Will get better ones for sure just didn't want to drop 75 on good ones and then not like them.

So when I bought my mirrors on amazon I need like 10 more bucks for free shipping and had this light saved and figured why not. My son wants me to make my scooter a tron bike for Halloween. So I've been searching for the right lights just for fun. So as I am want to do I was piddling around tonight and figured I'd see what it would look like and what I need to do to pull it off and make it look good. Current color scheme is black with red and white accents. This will have to change to make a more cohesive look. Looks sweet in person photos are kinda hard to get. Have ideas to make it run in my plastic seams. Since none of them really are tight I got some ideas to make the lights clip into the two sides. Not sure if it will be ready for Halloween but I'm thinking long term and gonna have to see if the motor temps are gonna melt the light string. Once the bike is done ID disks will be next. Can't have the tron bike without them

well after screwing up a head bolt I made some headway today. extracted the broken bit and got the oil pump gear removed and the new intake carb and air filter on. tomorrow hopefully Ill run the new throttle cable and be ready for the new bolt to come in. then fire her up.

did you just remove the shaft from the oil pump? If so you are better to grind the teeth off the shaft and reinstall .any material removed from inside the block causes you to lose some case pressure .You dont want to loose case presure thats what pushes the fuel thru the ports to the top of the cylinder .Grind the teeth and reinstall the shaft or get a proper oil pump plug .

Is a short term fix G9 has them on order when he gets them in I'll put a plug in. At the rate the build is going it'll probably be about the time I can fire it up.

now if you only had head bolts... just kidding G9 I cant thank you enough for talking me through this whole process. wasnt bad for my first time tearing one apart.(minus my error). excited to get it up and running though our warm weather is fading fast so it looks like the GOOCH will be ready just in time to for winter hibernation. should be able to get it broke it before that. that is if there are no more hiccups. gonna try to throw on my new tailight set up and sidestand while she is sitting in the garage at work mocking me. still working on changing my seat though that might wait for a bit as I work out some ideas. gonna have to cut the plastic seat build a frame to lower the locking mechanism so I can get the height I want for my seating position. its gonna be a process but think I have it all worked out in theory in my head. but anyway the GOOCH is getting a whole new look.

Well she's back together sort of. Fired it up started right up. Gonna put the cooling shrouds on and do some heat cycling and hopefully get it the streets soon.

I would do the heat cycles without the cooling shrouds makes for faster cycles.
