it depends on how you opened it up.sometimes if you open the exhaust port wrong you can loose power.the spree engines have low compression so bumping it up will help alot.also open the boost port up.port sideways that way you don't change the port timing.If you change the height of the window your changing the port timing and to many thing come into play to get the performance back.

Only bump the exhaust port on a spree up 1 ring width.
