Thanks for all your compliments and approval!!

I forgot to mention guys... My days of Dunlop KR133 Radial slick tires are over. M

I know that as soon as my NS50 is complete and finally finished (which is going to be really soon!), I will be going on fun rides every night after work. Time for some new proper tires!

Just as GKinTN noted, finding NS50F-sized tires is a bit of a challenge these days.

I had to go as far as Japan to buy my tires. :? -I ordered a set of Bridgestone BT39SS's, which are racing-type street "slicks."

They will be here within the next few days... I will post some pictures as soon as they arrive.
Another aspect that will be great is weight savings; the KR133 Radials were originally for 125cc GP racing. They are big and heavy... It will be great to shed some pounds from my little NS!

Later guys, again much thanks for all of your support!

-jon.

I'm pretty sure we're going to need some updated pics with Angie on the NS50.

Wink wink

Haha! Good one, polar ice! That's funny! We took those pictures a looong time ago!

Sure though, we will take some pics as soon as we get a sunny day.

-Shoot; Angie says that "NS the NS50" belongs to HER anyways... :o

My NS's new set of Bridgestone Battlax BT39SS tires are here!

-I have to applaud WeBike; the tires arrived to me in less than a week. Once I placed the order, WeBike orders the tires from Bridgestone directly, then once the tires get to Webike, they send them to me. And for those that are unfamiliar with WeBike, they are located in Japan!

I have always been a fan of the look of full-slicks on my scooter and NS, but once I saw the BT39SS's... I'm in love!

Here's a link to what the BT39SS Battlax tires tread pattern looks like:

-Im going to do my best to get them installed today.... Sundays are those lazy days

Talk to you guys soon, j

Just compared the tread on your BT39SS to BT45F-90/90-18 that are on my second NS.
By looking, I could not honestly say I can tell which is better. I know I like the look of 39's better.
My 45's have many grooves...IDK...gonna google this for better understanding.... :thumbwink:

The BT45's are some very good tires as well; especially for year-round performance. I have read the BT45's are much better in wet conditions.

I like the way you said "that are on my 2nd NS...".

-yeah, I'm going to have to find me another NS here soon; my baby is almost finished! :o
I would love to have a 2nd NS just to "kick around" and run errands on.

As soon as I get a sunny day, I will take some better, higher resolution pictures.

Later guys, jon :peace:

Finally started to spend some time on the magnum. Got bars, GP1 tires, and a handful of items to keep the fluids on the inside. Tires should be here any day, then my 5-spokes go on!

It's a real head-turner now. I got a "what the * IS that?" immediately rolling it out of the shop

That's awesome news, Supras !

Man, that's a freakibg awesome picture you took; I keep looking at it and thinking it almost looks like a
"toy" moped; I absolutely love that shot... Nice work dude - looking forward to seeing your wheel conversion.

Jon,

Very cool you got the BT39s in the 17"! I have them on my MB5 and really dig them plus they have been wearing quite well also. I got off easy as the 2.50 x 18s are much easier to find as they are stock for the 2004 Honda CB50R and Honda (last I checked) still stocks them. I cringe to know how much it cost for 17" BT39s all the way from a Japan dealer. Ooops I just looked at the Webike $...ouch! That said if it rains at "The Grits" you will be happy you aren't on slicks!

Well dudes, I got mounted and balanced-up thanks to the help of a good buddy.

The KR133 slicks are MUCH heavier than BT39's... And the KR's were like steamrollers; probably too wide for the NS application.

Since I ordered the correct Honda-spec sizes for the NS-1 wheels, and I think it will make all the difference in the world. The 125cc KR-"slickies" were using some serious power to rotate. :?
-I should have bought a set of the correct tires long ago...

I was thinking that the Dream 50R had BT39SS's; that's awesome youve got a set on your MB... I can tell that they are going to be SO much better than the KR133's...

As well, I was REALLY pushing it with the KR133's, as far as clearance with the "tire hugger" rear fender, swingarm, and the stock NS front fender.

thanks guys. it's got about 300(original) miles on it now.

I love that it keeps up with city traffic 100% stock. might just do an MLM pipe, 15mm Bing, and be happy with it.. never know

Definitely go with the MLM; Devin's pipes are amazing. Expensive, but amazing power and quality. A lot of guys here use the Rev - Run pipe and swear by its "pull."

-you know MLM can create you a "one-off" pipe as well... Google "custom MLM pipe" or "Devin Biek pipe..."

Here's one example:

I emailed him about making a custom pipe to finish-off my spree, and never got a reply back.
I'm def going to run his pipes on both bikes. Someone told me that I should call rather than email, so I'll do that

the problem with buying one for the magnum is that if i decide to kit it later, the exhaust port will be angled and the pipe won't go back on without modification
