Decided to take the GOOCH home from work today, so I put the 108 MJ back in as it ran like crap with the 106 in there and moved my clip all the way up as it was fluttery in the middle and took off. Knock on wood I think it's finally tuned in. Idles great coming back down holds it strong at 2200 Rpms, 1/4 -3/4 is spot on and full throttle is great. Thought I turned on my gps before but to my dismay it stopped about a mile in right when I had a chance to open her up. Judging by my seat gps it was the fastest it's gone yet till my spark plug wire popped off. Swear this bike has gremlins.
Got tuned just in time for G9s dyno day.. Oh wait my wife is dragging me to a d*** wedding on Saturday!

Oh temps never got above 350

Greetings:

So glad you're gettin' it dialed. It's still a work-in-progress; whenever the weather gets cooler you may need to adjust. Sometimes you can add a little oil or filter thickness and not have to re-jet.

Yeah when the rains come I'll be back at I'm sure. But now that I got proper fuel it makes things a lot easier.

rode the bike to work and to lunch today with much cooler temps than last night and its still running well. think I am gonna try to upjet to a 110 main next time I ride it to see what that does. though Im not getting any issues with full throttle Im not sure im getting all out of it that I can.

now the gremlins have determined that since ive kicked them out of everything else they want to * me off by knocking off my plug wire randomly. looks like some of the metal that slides over the plug end has been bent down. thinking of trying to come up with a solution or try to fix that piece. not really wanting to get a new wire just yet.

oh and my rear brakes are driving me insane. they make a racket 90 percent of the time and randomly dont squeak the other 10% of the time. ive tried scuffing the inner rim and even the pads. that stopped it for about 3 seconds both times. I will try another set of the malossi brakes and hope that I just got a bad set or they got glazed to the point of no return. if anyone has any thoughts on this or other brakes out there let me know.

Hi RCS. My malossi brakes stop very good, and lockup my rear tire. But they do squeak.

They work great at speed but make tons of noise. And low speed light braking they make even more noise. Loud bikes save lives and all but dang. I think my pipe is plenty loud.

Kimball Midwestern makes spray on brake treatment that fills the microscopic scratches on your drum. I used it on my malossi brakes and no more squeals. It was driving me nuts on my bikes also. I'd try to not sand on the drum if ever possible.

Thanks will try to track some down. And it was more of a cleaning than sanding on the drum

Greetings:

Consider a Pinch of brake pin lube on the pivots, making sure not to get any on the shoes themselves. The Scrrech is caused bu vibration, which grease cam damp. No way to fit anti-vibration clips over Malossi shoes...

After 6 days in Cali dealing with the twins I needed a break so I said f it I'm going for a ride. 60+ miles later I stop for a beer with the guys I was riding with a sport bike and newer Kawasaki cruiser and the first words out of their mouth was "d*** that thing is awesome and it sounds great.

I did realize I'm a little lean on my main jet. G9 was cruising marine drive full throttle not sure fast I was going but it was moving had to back off as my temps eventually hit 411. The hottest it's ever gotten dropped it down to 3/4 and it dropped down. Probably shouldn't have pushed it but at this point as the Corsa will get replaced this winter anyway I figured I'm gonna hammer it.

We were a motley crew cruising through for sure. The bike ran great and kinda surprised the exhaust flange held up to be honest I hammered it tonight for sure.

Was cruising home and had to take my nemesis hill that is my test for temps and cruising 45 just taking it easy and needed to pass a car in front of me so I opened her up and it took off and flew by a newer M3. Think I hurt his pride because at the next light he pulled along side me and needed to take me off the light and to his surprise he needed to hit it real hard to get me. Was a fun night of riding. Will upjet and see how the temps react.

Was your current ride with the 110MJ? Or still the 108MJ?
