my size 60 pilot jet came in today from scooter assassins , let everyone know what happens here...

Hey Ben, so maybe it works. Hope so bro. If not, do you have another carb to swap? Those oko's are cheap knock offs of the keihins, could it be a bad unit? I use an oko and I don't understand why there's no instructions or anything to help you, just say'in, but I had trouble getting it to work right. I don't know what's causing your trouble, but I guess I just wanted to make that suggestion. GL Also maybe check the slide in the carb, it may be closing if the adjustment isn't touching the slide. Check slack in the throttle cable also, when you move it around does it change the idle? Just think'in out loud. Best of luck.

Just bought a "racing" coil , one of those orange ones you see on ebay. 15 bucks from Hawaii. Need this problem to end!

Put the new coil on, same problems. What's next? Currently running 52 pilot 125 main. Air screw half way out... Am I just grounding out somewhere really trying to remain calm with this issue. Float set to 18/19mm per oko spec, running stock float bowl again.

Ideas?

Change ignition switch.
If that don't work, change kill switch.

is it grounding out in the cdi plug?


black/white wire touching green wire or black/white wire touching the frame somewhere?

Well guys just told traffic I pulled the trigger on a 28mm Keihin pwk. Coming from Taiwan, should be here in about 9 years. I'll check back then.

an update for anyone who cares:

Took it around the block with the new CDI...

Bike dies, spark cap hanging down off frame... *!?

Turns out, when suspension is fully loaded over bumps/etc the spark / spark cap was hitting the front most part of the rear fender plastic. Cut all that plastic out (where the fuel/vac/oil hoses used to sit)

This force was strong enough it actually bent the spark plug tip (non-electrode side) .... guess those base gaskets and 52mm BBK raised this too high ? ??

Anyway, that isn't my issue cutting out over bumps, however that was clearly a separate issue.

Problem solved! Garbage oko carb...

I am having a small issue , the new Keihin float drain keeps * fuel and the screw is all the way tightened... Might just cap it off
