there are two links to big bore kits on this thread. just be prepared to spend AT LEAST $300 OR MORE. the biggest they come is 70cc. but putting a big bore kit may not be the best idea since the gyro has a two speed transmission. it might not be able to handle the stress

Those links are for Gyro UP, and Gyro X...they will not fit Gyro or Gyro S that was marketed in the U.S....so then, do not be confused....

there is a malossi big bore kit that will work with the gyro s. 70cc.

If you read this it clearly states that the kit is compatible with TA01 and TA02 motors. Specifically, the Gyro UP, Gyro X, and Gyro Canopy. I'm sorry gyromaniac. Just aint gonna happen....

the honda gyro s has a ta02 motor. the only way i know this is because the honda fox has the exact same engine as the S

My book says Gyro S has a TB08E motor
and '84 Gyro has a TB09E motor

What you think you "know" seems to contradict all documentation. Please educate the membership.... ..(everybody)

the gyro may have a TB08E but other documents also say that the gyro and fox were mechanically identical. the link you posted also says that the road fox was the japanese version of the gyro s. they may have different model numbers but the engines are identical.

I'd say everyone will agree the US TG50 and JDM Roadfox have a powertrain which looks the same.

If we can agree the TA02 engine is found on the Gyro Canopy, here is a diagram. It would not get mistaken for a TG50 powertrain.

i think its interesting to see that even though the design has changed, there are still similarities hinting back to the older models. take for example the brake assembly. looks very similar to the S model. they also kept the whole principle of forced air cylinder cooling. in this case, the way they have it designed, it kinda looks like a mini turbocharger in a way.
