I think that belt only works with the ZX trans.

Greetings:

Yes, 641 length is stock for Aero and SE/SA50 Elites, all models.

Note that when you run a tape measure around the outside, you'll measure 650-something, depending on brand. It seems that manufacturers like to use some theoretical mid-point measurement, not the actual outer circumference.

I know man, I sat here and cleaned up the engine a bit today. I lightly went over some grime with a brillo pad so its not so nasty when you receive it. I also removed the electric starter motor and cleaned it up a bit and tested it. Cleaned up the crank case covers too. Also removed the rear brake, going to order new shoes for that this set has seen better days. I put the engine on a scale it was about 30.8 lbs. That plus all the parts is going to be an expensive shipment. Not too excited for that part haha.

The bulk parts order should be in next week.

If you clean it all up, What am I supposed to do?

Remember to drain all of the trans oil before you ship it. If a package is leaking UPS will not ship it. :nervous:

Wrap it up in a garbage bag just in case

you so smart traffic. drained that tranny oil today. a) didn't even look like i had enough in there  b) it looked like a combination of chocolate milk, oil and dirt coming out...

that aside the engine is pretty good to go shipping wise. I taped up various areas with blue painters tape. not sure if you remember but I was running my moped with no kickstart. I found the main components too the kick start today in an old parts box I had... but I had to order a few various pieces to the kick start assembly. I'm just going to ship it to you with no kickstart on it. I also ordered a new gasket for the left (kickstart side) of the crank covers.

Cue in some Phil Collins.... I CAN FEEL IT , COMIN IN THE AIR TONIGHTTTTT

OHHH LORD

IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS MOMENT... FOR ALL MY LIFE....

no seriously. my 52mm Ruima bbk came from Tobaggan. Here are some gratuitous pics.

Now this all aside... all these parts are coming in great and all. A little speedbump in my life has kinda put a damper on the project. I have 3 roomates here in Chicago and one has a tendency to party a little too hard... so hard that it has our landlords on edge.... with that said I'm in the process of moving at the end of September. We all know how that goes, putting down first and last months rent/deposit... blah blah blah. So until I get that situation under control, the moped build is postponed. Booo right? Should be alright after I move into my new place.
