you can change the pilot jet without removing the float bowl
file or dremmel a notch the bowl on a angle towards the pilot jet(not to big the o ring needs to seal on that surface)
and you may need to file a little off the main jet holder ( I had to al little top left pic)
the jet comes out on a slight angle but it comes out

Paul

ps
grind float bowl and jet holder off carb
and clean before reassembling
you don't want shavings or grinding dust in carb

WOW 68 mph. Very nice!!! I noticed in the picture below that you enlarged the boost port and also made a cut on the other side. How did you decide the measurements for that cut? I know the boost port is simply using the gasket to see what more needs to be cut but what about on the other side? Thank you!

as for the other side of the boost port

I thought about using a stroker crank
and in the instructions of the stroker crank
it shows the connecting rod might hit on that side
so I made it .060wider .030 a side than a friends stroker crank rod

but I wound up using a stock stroke crank instead

yes you do need to take that part out for the stroker crank. Not for stock though .you will loose a tiny bit of case pressure

Also it creates a disturbance in the air flow along the back to the other transfer port.

So I'm assuming its best to leave that part and not cut it out for my corsa with stock crank?

I would not cut it you want to promote a direct line between the sides.

on to the 2001 headlight
I have read some people asked about putting a brighter bulb in
here is some math?

according to shop manual
after 1989 the charging system is capable of maximum output of 4.0 max amps

the 35w/35w headlight pulls 2.73a l/2.73a h amps - 4.0 max=1.27 left
now they do sell a 45w/ 45 w bulb that will fit that is made for motorcycles
the 45w/45w headlight pulls 3.52a l/3.52a h amps - 4.0 max=.48 left
a normal motorcycle h4
55w/60w headlight pulls 5.40a l/5.80a h amps - 4.0 max= minus-1.4a l/-1.8a h

so ?
even if the wiring could handle the 55-60 bulb the charging system cant (minus-1.4a l/-1.8a h)

if the wiring could handle it need to look at size of wire. or you could wire relays in
the 45/45 leaves you with .48a ? how much does the coil & taillight dash lights use
need to work properly ? <need to look that up (the , stop& turn are intermittent ) LED bulbs would use less

now on to the charging system
the flywheel and stator for the 2001 elite are available
the flywheel and stator for the 1994-2000 are not available
( I know they will fit but Honda dosent show them as fitting
which usally means there is some kind of difference more output bigger wiring ect)

1994-01 use the same rectifier
31110-657-a81 flywheel 2001
31120-657-a81 stator 2001
31600-gbl-871 rectifier same part 1994-2001

just a thought
maybe the charging system was improved for 2001
because of the higher wattage headlight?

and I have had stators for motorcycles rewound for higher output
don't see why not for a scooter? but the wiring/ rectifier might not handle it
even with a rewound stator the 55w/60w headlight would probally get to hot for the housing

from post above
mousewheels says in his post
Alternator output
85-87 Aero NB50 12v, 96w/5000 rpm 31120-GN2-671
88-93 Elite SA50 12v, 96w/5000 rpm 31120-GS7-670
94-00 Elite SA50 12v, 88w/5000 rpm 31120-GS7-951 (94)
01-up Elite SA50 12v, 100w/5000 rpm 31120-GS7-A81(2001)

my addon

so a new conclusion
if the info above is correct
12.4 volts, a battery is 75% charged
12.6 volt at full charge
13.8 to 14.4 charging voltage
http://rapidtables.com/calc/electric/Wa ... ulator.htm

so at 13.8 charging volts
the 2001 elite 100w stator=7.2463768116 amps
the 1994-00 elite 88w stator=6.3768115942 amps

not the 4.0 amps the shop manual says

with the 1994-00 the 45w/45w headlight pulls 3.52a l/3.52a h amps - 6.37a max=2.85 a left
with the 2001 the 45w/45w headlight pulls 3.52a l/3.52a h amps - 7.24amax=3.72 a left

Fantastic!!! Send it my way when you are done with it, seriously:)

If the wheels fit right up and theres a significant difference in moment of inertia, you'll know on the first ride. You can probably do a quick check for a large difference simply by spinning them by hand. Quality of bearings can also make a significant difference.

As for the electrical question, you can hook up a dummy load for the proposed difference and monitor the battery voltage as you ride. If it comes back low, you are drawing too much. Also, if the elite headlight runs off its own windings(like the spree) and not through the battery, this should not be an issue but the windings will only give so much.

Without any meter or measuring, I'd expect overloading to be evident in the flare of the headlight when idling.
