40 on a stock bore??? Who would make a claim like.... oh, that's my bike. Too bad i nuked the crank last night
Yea, verily: There is Glory in the achievement. So what conked the crank?
Stupidity. I didn't have the front pully tourqued on well enough, and the outer pully half chewed the splines completly off the crank.

I had to put case bearings in anyways, so it's not like the crank didn't have to come out already. It'll be back with improvements. It's just unfortunate it had to happen while the weather was so nice, and that it had to happen while I was miles out with no cell phone in the middle of the night. It was a long push...
ill lend my shoulder to weep on. OUCH! i've read alot of ppl nuking their cranks via the loose pulley syndrome!
To desertsage: Beautiful spree!! like plankton said, Very clean!! and to comment what bear said about 25, someone with your petite build oughta be able to get 30 or so outta a stock spree so check your vin like he stated. i just sold me spree for the same, scooter unfriendliness reasons.. (my road is a freakin speedway! lol) But good find, good price, Keep on scootin!!

Nice!
Looking at the pictures, I need to do something about those front blinkers, they sure do take away from the overall look of the scoot.

It's kind of squirrelly riding through intersections around here, where they haven't been repaved in 40 years. All the money for plates and registrations go to fix Seattle roads first.
Once second gear kicks in it takes off pretty good. People look at you strange also.
I'll try and have the wife take some video soon.

Yeah, really.
But once a fan, always a fan, I still watch Northern Exposure whenever I can.
