You know the only retard here is you m0murda, I know the aero engine isnt a dio, Iam not interested in a dio motor at this moment. I found a used aero engine for nothing so Iam going to use that, any engine is better than a spree, Iam sure you know that. By the way your advice isnt really advice, everyone knows that the best motor to use is a dio if you want all out performance, however the aero engine is just fine when compared to a spree engine.

that's where the dio is based from if you did your research and stop shooting your mouth off so much. Look at the 87 motor if you ever had one. The dio is very similar. The 87 has the japan dio mag on it and gearing even with the malossi stright cut can be installed directly into dio motor.m0murda wrote:aero, 87 elite, 88-93 lx is not dio, similar but smaller crank, and gearing is different. oo wellz dont take my advice you ignorant haw leez.

i have a 84 spree. it has a 86 block. heres the mods i did on mine to get 42mph, and weigh 230lbs! first thing i did was port out the cylinder exhaust port. i have a 85 head on it, and its shaved. i had to advance the timing to make up for the higher compression i have. remove the pick up coil, and oval out the mounting holes, so u can move the pick up coil back a little. i took the inner belt pully and shaved off about 0.50. i took the intake and ported and polished it. i left in the 86 reed valve. the carb, i removed the 68 size jet, and drilled it out to about a 70-74 size with the help of a tiny * drill bit. the muffler, i cut the 85 muffler in half length wise, and made all the little pipes inside the muffler bigger with bigger pipes. i put on a 3.00 size tire on the back, and a 2.75 size tire on the front. i removed the air filter, and replaced it with a k&n valve cover breather. i gapped the spark plug at about 0.45-0.47. i mixed in a little 110 octane with 93-94 octane fuel. these r the results i got with my spree. hope this info is helpfull to u all. 8)

man how many times do i need to explain this.
this picture needs to go into the perf tec docs. drilling in point A will increase noise and look like crap point B would make it a strait pipe which means you run the risk of blowing your engine
and yes my spreec is gutted on the shed floor right now come to think about it i better go lube that brake cable again
anybody knoew aht a new air filtere and rear brake cable is going to cost me?

I am not a mechanic, nor do I play one on TV. Actually my advice is probably worth slightly less than what you pay to view it.

it will work the same ou probably wont get much speed but your takeoff will be alot better and it shifts the powerband of the pipe around so it picks up at about 18 instead of 25
