Jetting down procedure?

The color of the porcelain mostly indicates if the heat range of the plug is correct. In order to "read" the plug for proper air fuel ratio you need to look down where the metal meets the porcelain there should be a soot ring and jet by the thickness of the soot ring. Personally plug chops on these scooters are almost useless due to the fact you cant disengage the trans after you hit the kill switch. the engine is still turning over until you come to a complete stop. Most of my jetting is done by feel and temperature.

can jetting too hgh cause high temp??

If anything rich jetting should keep the temps lower than they should be
