Sounds like a plan. Just don't know if a shock riser will give me the clearance. You gonna be around Sunday mid morning by chance? Will be on your side of the river most of the day. Will try to get some measurements today to see if I can get the clearance needed. Assuming you got atleast a 30mm riser as that seemed to be the smallest I've seen. looks like Id need atleast 3 inches to be able to clear without smashing my light if I bottom out my shock. without knowing exactly how much travel my shock has im a little iffy even try as I dont want to break anything else on my bike. lord knows ive had enough of that to last me awhile.

G9 lent me a scorpion pipe and I installed it and its not raining... LETS RIDE! not sure what jets to run so I threw in a 108 and kept the 38 slow in. will see what that does for me thinking its gonna be a bit rich.

108 with a 38 slow was a dog! Went down got a good slow jet idles and no hesitation. No riding today. So I'm drinking instead. Will Pm yA G9. Oh my neighbors aren't going to like me very much at 6:30 am riding through the hood with that scorpion.

started tuning with a 108 and 38 slow and it was chugging and burning so rich. so I started dropping and went down to a 104 with the 38 slow and still way to rich and sluggish. my thought was to drop the slow and to get a good idle and start working on the main. so I kept the 104 and started dropping the slow. and the best idle I got with no hesitation was running a 32 slow. so with a 32 slow and 104 main was still sluggish till about 30 then it launched like a bat out of *. so since I had a few more minutes i threw in the 102 main and now as it sits its sluggish and only goes 25 WOT. any thoughts would be appreciated.

well I have the clutch tightened all the way right now. I will need to pick up some lighter rollers from ya. when I get a chance Ill play some more. when I had the 106 in there it was super boggy till it hit about 30 then it launched. definately think right around the 106-108 would be a good range so I will throw that back in and get a better read on whats happening All that being said there wont be to many early morning rides with that scorpion on there though I like the sound I dont think my sleepy neighborhood will be ready for it.

Upon reflection I've decided to throw the R1 back on dial that in. As much as ride it to work I need a slightly quieter exhaust. Atleast for the time being. Realistically I don't need to go 60+ right now. Thinking come spring I'll grab one of those Yasuni pipes G9 has.

well heres where I am. put the R1 exhaust back on as I just wasnt having any luck with the scorpion and realistically I couldnt ride that through my hood. So back to the R1 which im ok with I dont need to go over 60 in the rain here anyway. was having some issues with the idle. ran great from higher rpms but bogged off of idle and wouldnt stay idling. So i tore all the plastics off and decided to check for air leaks G9 suggested to check the CT intake, I took it off and tore it apart and found moisture between layers and gaskets. So i sealed up that up with some hondabond. and checked everything else for tightness while it was apart. wasnt idling with a 32 slow and 102 main so I jumped up to a 40 slow to see what happened. got it do idle well if a bit high and lost alot of the boggyness when I gave it throttle. not sure if the 102 is to lean due to wet riding conditions but atleast I got a good idle that wasnt surging and dying so I will play with it some more and see what I can come up with.

Rip_City_Spree wrote:yeah Im done riding it till the other rims come in. getting a used one with tire as a stop gap till I can get a new rim and 3.5x10 tire on it. will find out why the JB was put on there after I take it off.
When I tried to put a 3.5 on mine, the tire hit the engine case below the cylinder and wouldn't turn correctly.
