I purchased a 1985 Honda Spree that only tops out at 25mph. What can I do to enhance that up to 35 mph? Thanks.

First, do all you can to investigate its current condition. Specs are available in the Technical Docs in the form of the Factory Service Manual. If you find something off, correct it. It could be as simple as a worn belt or as complex as leaky crank seals. Hard to tell from a question on a computer screen.

Do a little work and post up what you find. Most people here want to help, but can't do much for you unless you provide more information. From what has been posted here, your correctly-running stock bike should bust 30, unless it's an Iowa model.

Young grasshoppa you must learn to search. Spend some time reading the tech docs. That is a super easy one to answer. So easy I'll give you a hint. The word starts with muff and ends with l-e-r.

Okay so I understand that there's a washer inside the muffler but do I need to take the muffler off of the scooter and how do I get to where the washer is? I'm new to this but have been messing with the muffler and it doesnt look like there is any place to penetrate it.

I've never done one personally but you will need to remove the muffler. Once removed, take a look down the pipe where it connects to the top end. You should see some restriction there. If it is too complicated you can order an 86 or 87 muffler off of Ebay or the forum. Those mufflers for sure have no restrictions.

does this also work on 84 sprees? how do i know if i have an iowa model, io want some more bang outta my scoot
