I have front brake action but my rear brake is inoporative. The cable looks stretched a bit and pulling in the left handle seems to do nothing. Is this a cable issue or a problem in the rear of the scoot??? I have a ton of expereince working on cars, however my bike sperince' is limited. I need your help!!!!
Thanks fellow spreefreaks!!!!

does the handle pull? try tightening up the nut on the back of the cable next to the tire. if this doesnt help at all, then ur cable is screwed.
I tried that already.........

Yeah, I already attempted to adjust the rear nut and it was so adjusted that the rear tire was not free rolling hardly at all...Looks like I need a new cable then???

I would replace the brake cable and also put new brake shoes on while your at it. Its not that hard to do . Even when everything is new these little bikes do not have the greatest stopping power. Thats why they are only meant to go around 30 miles per hour.

Before you buy a new cable, remove the old, and rubber-band a plastic bag to one end. Fill with light oil and hang in the garage. This will sometimes work to free up old weathered cables. I would inspect the rear shoes as well, if not replace them.
