1985 Honda Spree - Electric Start only.
Hey Everyone. I'll start by telling you what went wrong when i started my spree for the first time today.
I started it, and it ran really slowly and dog-like. This is because i had cleaned everything out and it was finally startin to flow again. Anyway, it was dripping gas here and there. And would also leave puddles if i stood in a place for a while. But i kept riding it for a good 10 minutes until it was out of gas. (i started with a quarter tank worth of gas.)
Then I decided that it used the gas way too fast. So I put more in it, and start it back up. I stood in 1 place and gave it quarter throttle, to keep it ideling. but when i gave it gas, it would just pour out of the carb. It only comes out of 1 place as far as i know. there is an open outlet/inlet on the carb that doesnt have a hose or anything connected to it and i dont know what its for, but i labeled it.
In the pictures, i labeled each one of where the hole where the gas comes out. also labeled the part where there is an open outlet/inlet with no hose connected.

i always had this problem. it was the float needle. needs to be cleaned and free. use compressed air to blow out all passages.

ok, i had no idea because this is a stock spree... so why would there be a carb from an elite?

also, which, and how do i plug one of the nipples?, and is the float needle the orange ring? or is it somthin else?

float needle is the small metal thing the float holds. make sure this operates smoothly

disregard my earlier post. nipple in carb is not for oil. i looked at it wrong. it is for fuel. sorry for the confusion.

whats goin on here??

OR.
Could it be this bottom thing?
the first time i took my carb apart, i took off that piece. what it is, is a metal flap, that covers 2 openings, and then on top of that, is that metal piece... did i install these backwards or something? or is it still a carb problem?

that would be ur reeds. dont mess with them. i use carb cleaner to clean the jets in mine and runs great after that.
