hey guys, simple question like above. i have a red 1984 spree. I'm painting it soon, so just lemme know what color you guys think would look the sikkkkkkeesssssssttt...i was thinkin a really really dark purple... so just lemme know wuts uup. thx

Dark purple looks good IMO.

Next question would be what color to paint the wheels.

Call me a hardcore Laker fan, but I think that gold would look sick with the dark purple!

Second choice would be gun metal..

i agree gun metal would be the s**t but so would satin black, o and u could go to nara if u have one close and see if they have the color effects clear coat for a look that would bw like oil/water mix you knia like that illusion paint they came out with a while back

yea bradthree something like that but mine has like a metal flake in it cant tell if your car does, it came out of a rattle can at napa it just says color effects clear, about 15 bucks a can and it took me 2 to do it, medium size can. but let me ask you why is that a garage queen? get that baby out and run it like it wants to be.!! o yea my clear just isnt gold and silver though mine changes all diff colors, blue,purple,green.pink,orange, you get it, just depends on the angle in the sun. ill get pics as soon as its completly done, gotta get my floorboard from camtastic and my grips from my hondasan

alright thanks for your input guys. I've decided on dark purple (not too dark) with black accents. the wings on each side of the steering pillar and the panels that surround the motor, gas tank, etc will both be deep purple. everything else will be black (steering pillar parts, floor panel, front wheel fender thing). Im about half way dun. i'll post pics when its dun.

Nothing says motorcycle like black. Matches your leathers. Purple can make a statement too. Not my style
I sprayed the modified panels on my wifes scoot in black with clear coat last night. It ain't rocket science.

It's too bad we get hung up on stereotypes. Kinda like Johnny Cash's song "Boy named Sue". I would wear pink just to dare somebody to say something. You gotta be tough to wear pink, not panzy. f2x phantom, YUGO with the purple. I like it.
