And a how-do,
Fellas, my tires are dry-rotted all to *. I've decided to order the Chen Shin C917 2.75-10 whilst ordering some other much need parts.
Are these going to fit my stock rims? I looked all over today and yesterday but couldn't confirm it 100%.
The rims are rusty aswell - spots, no flaking - any suggestions? I'm thinking: wire brush/rustoleum or similar.
Thanks,
Melchior

2.75-10 Should Fit
Greetings:
The size should be ok.
Surface prep is the key to a good paint job. Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of loose rust. If that were the case, who needs to paint?

Awesome! I'm glad I made the right choice.
As for the wheels: I'm pretty deft at painting on-the-cheap so I think I'll be alright.
Thanks,
Melchior

Re: 2.75-10 tires ordered for spree
Greetings:
Tires do vary in size between brands, even if the nominal size on the sidewall is the same. One brand of 2.75 may be bigger than another. Timmy had a 2.75 knobby rear tire with no issues. Some forum denizens have reported 3.00 can be made to fit with minor plastic fender trim. I have not previously read about anyone having a problem with a 2.75. What brand "rubs bad"?
