Rear Tire/Tube Replacement?

I'm a newbee 1986 non-Iowa NQ50 owner. WITH FLAT REAR TIRE!
Went to a NY motocycle dealer - who changed rear TUBE with
a 90-degree tube stem. It "Clicked" on the gear box! He said
it was the best he could do!
Could someone give me the basics of how to change the TIRE
and TUBE on the rear tire, on my NQ50 Spree. I was able to
buy 2.5x10 tires, and also 2 tubes on Ebay. WHAT NEXT?

This is easy; I'm going through it right now.
- For the front wheel remove the brake, and speed-o cable then remove the axe nut and axle and the wheel will fall out.
- For the rear you have to remove both body panels and the muffler. Then the large nut that holds the wheel on. The wheel should pull right off.
Now to remove the tire take out the valve core to let all the air out. Then pop the tire bead off (for me one tire I could do by hand the other I had to do with a vice) then use a tire iron to work the tire off the rim one side at a time (it is not to bad of a job). Clean the rim up and make sure there are no sharp edges that could damage the tire or tube.
To mount the new tire inflate the new tube a little, put it in the new tire making certain there are no twists in it. Next remove the valve core and spray the beads and rim with
Silicone spray to help the tire seat better. Now using the tire iron mount one side of the tire (look at your tire to make sure that the rotation direction is right if your tire calls for it), put the valve stem through the hole and mount the other side. Inflate the tire until the bead is set all the way around the tire and lower the presser to what it should be.

I originally tried to get "flat tire", bad tube - replaced by a
local Watertown, NY motorcycle shop. He ended up installing
a 90-degree stem tube, left off the stem's nut .... brought it
home, tried it once - and 90-degree stem, clickityclickity
hit the gear box.
I can't believe a motorcycle/atv/snowmobile shop - would
do such bad work. Got my money back - and am now
ordering 4-ply rating Tires (Tiawain), Tubes 2.50x10,
and tire irons.
Shop claimed they had a hard time getting tires or
tubes for the NQ50 Spree. I gave up ........
I don't think they had any interest in fixing it.

They probably didn't want to help. But that's ok you can change the tire's yourself and save some money. It's really straightforward. I just did it and it only took 1.5 hr to do both, and it was the first time I've done anything like this. I put a post up before on how to do it.

You don't need to remove the entire rear wheel just to replace the tube. It makes things easier, but you have to realign it when you put it back on.
As far as changing it, its almost like on a regular bike, only bite size.
