theres a scooter club in my town and we ride every sunday all winter long. does anyone have any experience with the off road stubby tires for the spree? i was thinking about getting some but im worried that i will lose some of the take off and top speed.

at most, i take my scoot out on the ice and do stupid things till i hurt myself.

never tried to use the roads in the winter, tiny tires at speed on ice are too unsettling for me.

I agree, Michigan roads and weather are too unpredictable. Kids on my street have already asked me to pull them with my scoot while they are on their sleds this coming winter. Sounds tempting but I'll pass.

I usually ride my bicycle to work all year. I used to drive when there was snow, but I got some Nokian studded snow tires that have made all the difference.
I don't know whether studded tires are legal or even available for scooters, but without them, there's no way I would ride on ice & snow.
The older I get, the more I value my skin...

You can buy screw-in studs to make your knobby tires into studded tires.
