These are some pics of my AF16 when I recently installed my new full-counterweight SEF "mini stroke" crank... Hopefully the AF16 wont leak anything on the orange shag
-No wait... I built the motor so no leaks!! Haha!! :bowrofl:

Check out the new KOSO intake manifold. (its the small version) I added Stage 6 reed block which includes carbon fiber reeds by Moto Tassani.

Now the engine is back in the Aero and is running great... just waiting for a good day w'out rain to take a ride!

Looks good. If I had an engine with those goodies and that clean I'd leave it out over the winter to look at. 8)

does it bolt up to the aero mount or did u have to modify it. a noob on engine swaps

:thumbsup: Toast, i have always noticed that your builds are exactly like mine - you strip everything and clean meticulously. It's a pain in the a**, and as you know your hands and fingernails never *really* get clean again... but the end results are worth it. -when i got my AF16 cases i should have taken pics of them to show what they looked like before. They were stained and caked w' 2 stroke "grime."

tw: the AF16 Elite engine is not a direct bolt-in, but it's very easy and straightforward. -i used an '87 SE50 engine mount, and although the engine wiring harness is different, with some electrical connectors it becomes plug and play.

Jon, I've seen your (masked) self in some compromising photos you've posted. While you're a very handsome feller, my preferences lean another way. However your scooter 'ssembly does make my naughty parts a little hot and tingly. :naughty:

Better still is Angie, whose Scoot proclivity AND tolerance of an Aero in the Living Areas of the Blank Boudior make her an attractive catch. Make her happy! Buy those side skirts, whatever the price. :thumbwink:

I'd be interested in a comparison between your exotic mini-mani and the venerated CT Chrome. Source for Stage6 AF16 manifold?

Not Horny and my shag was replaced about 5 years ago with hardwood.

You have done a nice clean job on assembly. I am just about the opposite, make it work first and then clean it up as needed. I wish I had more of a clean gene in my work. If I get a chance I am wanting to make a lowracer scooter. Going to start with a street legal scooter and make something quite different.

Mookie, you have to use a different engine mount because the NB50 Aero engine mount is staggered and if you used the NB50 mount the AF16 engine would be too far to the left or right.
-An AF16 engine mount will work perfectly as well as the SE50 engine mount. I know all you have to do if you have the SE50 engine mount is used is to use 2 belt cover dowel pins slid over the engine mount bolt because the SE50 engine mount uses a larger diameter bolt than the NB50. -The dowel pins fit perfectly and corrects the diameter difference.

tw,

you can cut down and shim with washers the NB50 engine mount, but it's much easier to buy an AF16 or SE50 engine mount and just bolt it up...

Wheelman, your post always make me laugh my butt off. Good stuff indeed... I will do a comparison with the CT and the Koso mani and let you know what I find out...
